Imagination is more important than knowledge

I came across this thought by Einstein that has brought back a modicum of inspiration to me, and it's worth sharing here:

"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."
- Albert Einstein [from Brainyquote]

If you're feeling a bit drained, uncreative, boxed-in, whatever - just think about this.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand

This is the correct quotation and it gives a much deeper meaning than the meaningless abreviated version that's floating around the web. If you read the abreviated version it looks like Einstein is debunking knowledge in favor of imagination. What he is really saying is that our knowledge is limited, and that Imagination is the key to unlocking limitless knowledge.
